Summary
The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in driving our next phase of growth, with the primary objective of increasing revenue alongside managing, mentoring and scaling our existing sales team. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead a sales team, develop and execute robust sales strategies and expand our market presence.
You will report to the Directors and be responsible for leading and managing all members of the Sales team.

Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Bicester, with a second storage warehouse nearby. Since fitting out our state-of-the-art clean rooms and manufacturing facility in 2019, we have continued to invest in our infrastructure to better serve our customers and enhance operational efficiency.
What will you do?
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our ambitious growth targets.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Business Development: Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to expand our client base and market share.
- Account Growth: Oversee key account management, ensuring optimal service delivery and maximising upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor clear performance targets, making data-driven adjustments as needed to ensure success.
- Sales Process Optimisation: Continuously refine our sales processes and systems to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide actionable insights and regular sales forecasts to senior management, guiding strategic decisions.
- Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to keep our sales strategy relevant and competitive.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, New Product Development, and other departments to align on and support sales initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience:
- Proven Track Record: 7+ years of sales leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to drive substantial revenue growth, ideally within a related industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the food supplement market or a closely related field, including market dynamics and customer needs.
- Team Management: A strong history of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Expertise in crafting and executing sales strategies that achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong business sense, with the ability to drive and align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Leadership: Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to develop and retain top talent.
- Sales Expertise: Mastery of sales methodologies and processes, coupled with excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in leveraging data and market insights to inform strategy.
- Communication: Superior communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Innovative problem solver with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
- Adaptability: Agile in responding to a fast-changing market and adept at leading organisational change.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
